Updates

There is a family that resembles some sort of celebrity status here at Camp Krem. The Scherbert family has been bringing campers to Camp Krem longer than most seasonal staff has been around. When they unloaded their van of six campers, one too young to join and three adults we knew it was going to be a session full of familiar faces that represent years of monumental moments. It is not just this family either. This session there are a lot of campers returning to camp that we as staff know and welcome back with anticipation of sharing in that familiarity of friendship. Session three brings even more exciting news. Unlike last session’s six days, this session we have ten days of Camp Krem. Each day at Main Camp we are having a theme to the day instead of one over arching theme for the session. So far we have had Independence Day, Space Day, Medieval Day, and today is Pirate Day. In other news, Outdoor Camp (ODC) left yesterday afternoon for their now famous Skyline to the Sea hike. Stay tuned for a blog entry from ODC director Abbey Buckley giving us all the details about the very popular hike. Tomorrow Travel Camp leaves for their trek to Henry Cowell State Park, the beach and then Monterey Bay. Travel Camp director Alyssa Schroeder promises pictures from the trip by the end of the session.

  1. Thank you for the great update on Session #3!!! Please post often and with more pictures-it is so fun to have a glimps into the great time our campers are having while at camp. I love the "theme of the day" idea and it sure looks like it has been fun so far. Give Marissa a big hug from me!

  2. I am finally getting to look at the camp blog! Well done Brian, this is such a great medium for capturing all of the goodness that has happened at camp Krem this summer. Tonight was pretty rockin' at camp with the Hollywood theme today. We had a live band in true form on stage in the Mess Hall, our own private "Hollywood" party. I think my favorite part about camp is dancing with campers and other staff. Can't believe there are just two days left!
